Inaugurated by Audrey Azoulay, UNESCO’s new Director-General, the International Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) Forum aimed to strengthen NGO collaboration with UNESCO in the field of climate change and environmental protection.

Entitled “Let’s change minds, not climate!“The Forum took place in two days on 7 and 8 December 2017 at UNESCO (Paris). Mr. Paul Pied, DFAO’s representative to the CCIC, attended this forum.

During the first day, the discussions focused on:

the priorities given by UNESCO, its sectors and programmes to the fundamental issue of climate change, the role and actions of civil society, particularly through UNESCO’s NGO partners, fundamental consideration of the role of the oceans in climate change and the human actions that must accompany it.ong-unesco
