OMAEC brings together alumni from around the world to stimulate engagement and cooperation among alumni associations in Catholic education. OMAEC has 4 types of members:

• World Confederations of Alumni/ae of the different Congregations dedicated to education.
• Continental Confederations of Catholic Education Alumni/ae
• National Federations of Catholic Education Alumni.
• Corresponding members in countries where there are no National Federations.
