From September 11 to 14, 2025, the Summit of Past Pupils of Don Bosco of the Americas was held at the “Betsaida” Salesian House in Amatitán, Jalisco, Mexico, just minutes from Guadalajara. The Summit was held under the theme: “Past Pupils walking with Don Bosco, transforming the world with hope, leadership, and synodality.”
Representatives from the following countries attended this meeting in person: Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Guatemala, Haiti, Mexico, Panama, and the Dominican Republic. Representatives from the following countries attended this meeting virtually: the World Vice President (Brazil) and the President of the Past Pupils of Chile. Also present were the President of the World Confederation, Bryan Magro; Secretary Peter Kovac; Regional Councilor for GEX Europe and the Middle East, Alessandro Pensabene; and Councilor for Adults in Europe, Valerio Martorana, with whom collaborative work was carried out, as well as with the Rector Major’s Delegate for the Salesian Family, Fr. Joan Lluís Playá.
The commitment to strengthening the ties that unite them as one Salesian Family was renewed, celebrating 150 years of Salesian presence in the Americas.
