Dear friends<\/p>\n

I am pleased to share with you, attached, the\u00a0statement<\/a>\u00a0adopted on the occasion of the Autumn 2025 Session of the Conference of INGOs of the Council of Europe.<\/p>\n

This text expresses the Committee\u2019s concern regarding the growing tendencies of democratic regression observed in Europe and the increasing instrumentalisation of migration, which undermines the fundamental rights of people on the move as well as the work of civil-society organisations.<\/p>\n

I invite you to read it carefully and ensure its maximum diffusion
\nI thank the UNAEC Europe delegation that contributed to its drafting.<\/p>\n

Finally, I inform you that on 13 November 2025 at 5.00 pm there will be the webinair\u00a0\u201c<\/strong>Border control & migration:\u00a0safeguarding fundamental rights in the age of A<\/strong>I\u201d\u00a0<\/strong>which will deepen\u00a0<\/strong>the intersection between technological innovation, border management and human rights.<\/p>\n
